Editor Help

From the Admin panel;

• Select Posts > Add New
• Click into the ‘Add title‘ text and enter the title of your post.
• On the right-hand side of the page,
  • Click the ‘Categories‘ dropdown and select the category for the post that corresponds to the type of post you are adding(ie. Activities, News & Events, Offers, Specials, etc).
  • Click the ‘Featured image‘ dropdown, then ‘Set featured image‘ to upload or select your image from the ‘Media Library’.
  • (Optional) Click the ‘Excerpt‘ dropdown and type your desired text to place text immediately underneath the title.  Don’t worry, if you don’t type anything here, you will have a chance to add text and other content in the next step listed below.
• Click the button, ‘Use Divi Builder‘ to start building from scratch your new post.  Don’t worry, your title and other data are still valid.
  • From the popup dialog box, ‘Insert Row‘ by selecting the desired column count and widths.  Try a single column for full width.
  • ‘Insert Module‘ by selecting one of the available modules listed below.
    • Button – link to another page on this website or another one.
    • Image – upload an image or select one from the Media Library.
    • Video – upload a video or select one from the Media Library.
    • Gallery – upload or select a collection of images and/or videos in a slide series format.
    • Text – Add text with a simple editor that allows for basic text formatting.
    • Notes:
      • Each module is self-contained and includes it’s own inline help.  Click the question mark [?] next to the module attribute for a quick answer.
      • To add another module, Look for the black circular button with a plus sign.
      • You may notice that when using the Divi Builder to create these posts, you are unable to format or otherwise change the header and title area, as well as the review and footer.  These sections of the page are maintained separately which allows you as the creator of the post to concentrate on your specific content.

From the visual editor of a post;

• Click the Rank Math SEO icon to show its properties page.
• Checkout the Preview score in the right hand corner of the Rank Math SEO.  This is your guide for how well the page complies with Google standards for SEO.   The composition of your post in terms of wording, and most importantly your page title and text, determine how Google and other search engines see the page and rank it for listing on the search results they serve up.
• General Tab – Custom Meta Title & Description
  • Add keywords that reflect the content of the page that will correspond to things people are searching for related to the post.  You can also change the post title and description if necessary.
• Rank Math’s SEO & Content Optimization Hints
  • Use the hints provided to optimize the page for SEO.
